Consular Assistance
The Embassy of Australia in Riyadh has consular responsibility for Australians in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen.
The Consular Services Charter outlines the consular service and assistance that is provided by the Australian government. There will be circumstances in which our ability to provide consular support may be limited. These circumstances are outlined in the Consular Services Charter. Our capacity to assist you is influenced by local laws and conditions, international rules governing consular work, and by the cooperation offered by persons and organisations outside the Australian government.
If you require consular assistance while in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman or Yemen, you can contact the Embassy between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Saudi local time) from Sunday to Thursday on telephone +966 11 250 0900. The Consular Section can also be contacted by email: [email protected]. The Embassy operates an online appointment system for all services.
The Embassy is closed to the public on public holidays.
If you require urgent assistance outside of business hours, please call the Embassy on +966 11 250 0900 to be redirected to the 24-hour Consular Emergency Centre (CEC) in Canberra, or call the CEC directly on +61 2 6261 3305 (from outside Australia), or 1300 555 135 (from within Australia).
